On August 8, the summer night breeze carried the excitement of esports and the latest trends, filling the Shenzhen Sports Center Gymnasium—both inside and out—with a buzz of excitement.

From the “Grand Opening” at Chengdu’s Dong’an Lake in 2024, to the “Island-Style Party” at Sanya’s White Egret Pavilion in 2025, and now this year’s “2026 Peacekeeper Elite PSI Finals & Night of Thrills Annual Fashion Show,”it has finally returned, in its third year, to its “real-world birthplace”—Shenzhen.
Three years isn’t a long time, but *Peace Elite* has delivered impressive results. As of New Year’s Eve 2026, its DAU officially surpassed the 90 million mark, while the DAU for its built-in UGC module, “Oasis: Genesis,” also hit a new high of 58 million. The enduring passion of tens of millions of players has made this highly anticipated annual spectacle possible.
This year’s “Night of Thrills” was, as always, bold and daring. Hua Chenyu, Tian Xiwei, Song Qian, Wu Lei,Ao Ruipeng, Wang Yuwen, and a host of other top-tier stars took turns stealing the show. Through immersive stage performances and trendy fashion shows, they brought *Peace Elite*’s unique skin aesthetics and popular game modes—such as “Subway Escape” and “Lost in the Ancient Tomb”—from the mobile screen to the live stage.

Offline, countless special forces members from all corners of the country flocked to the event to join in this annual nationwide celebration; online, hundreds of related topics continued to dominate the charts, with discussion across the web remaining at a fever pitch. This top-tier shooting game has once again demonstrated its unrivaled appeal and nationwide influence through its genuine viral popularity.

Behind this extraordinary popularity lies the "Peace Elite" team’s years of dedicated effort and strategic planning. That very morning, Huang Xinlong, Director of Game Design and Director of Esports Operations for "Peace Elite"; Yang Yiqing, Director of Game Design; Ang Yunhong, Director of Operations; Luo Li, Head of Marketing; andChen Sihan appeared together at a media briefing, where they shared insights and addressed questions on a wide range of topics of greatest public interest, including the game’s ecosystem, gameplay updates, AI technology applications, player insights, and cross-industry collaborations.
In terms of content ecosystem development, the team has established a tiered tournament system combined with various support and incentive programs, opening up growth and advancement pathways for streamers and content creators alike; In terms of version operations, the team tapped into players’ emotional resonance, refining the summer update into a distinctive emotional IP. While maintaining the game’s nostalgic essence, they continuously introduced fresh gameplay mechanics, successfully retaining veteran players while attracting new users; As for the practical application of AI technology—a topic of widespread industry interest—*Peacekeeper Elite* has demonstrated implementation capabilities across the entire value chain, spanning player experience, UGC creation, and R&D production. The game consistently prioritizes creativity, using technology to lower the barriers to creation and ensuring that technology truly serves players and creators.
Q: Regarding *Peace Elite*, what notable achievements and future priorities can you share this year in terms of platforms, streamers, and content creators?
Ang Yunhong: All three of these areas have seen solid growth this year.
First, regarding the streamer ecosystem, a major change this year was the establishment of a “three-tier” streamer competition system, with corresponding entry channels for both top-tier and mid-tier streamers. We have introduced a “streamer-led tournament” model, under which the platform provides a full suite of tailored support; at the same time, we encourage streamers to explore innovative niche competition formats, ensuring that streamers of all styles can find a competition track that suits them. In our view, these competitions have become a key pathway for streamers to consistently gain traffic and grow their follower base, and this is a key area where we are focusing our efforts this year.
Second, regarding the creator ecosystem, we have a very intensive set of initiatives this year: centered on the “Oasis Qiyuan” ecosystem, we will allocate 30 million yuan in special funding this year; in the “Live Stream Clips” category, we will allocate traffic in the millions each month; In addition, we have launched the “Cross-Category Newcomer Onboarding Support Program” with a monthly budget of one million, to help more newcomers join *Peace Elite* and effectively reduce the incubation costs for agencies.
Third, in this new cycle, we have also allocated a special budget of 200 million for ecosystem development, with the aim of advancing two key areas: on the one hand, continuing to expand segments such as the Streamer Competition, live-stream clips, and Oasis Qiyuan; on the other hand, continuously optimizing our partnership strategies to reduce the burden on agencies regarding performance metrics, while also refining follow-up plans such as revenue protection for influencers.
Q: The summer updates released by *Peacekeeper Elite* each year are highly anticipated by players. What key lessons or methodologies has the team gained from designing and operating these major updates to ensure that, amid the fierce competition from a flood of new releases during the summer season, the game can both retain its existing player base and attract new users? Specifically, what results can you share regarding user retention metrics or community engagement?
Yang Yiqing: A few years ago, we started out by simply introducing a surfing mode with a summer vacation vibe. But we discovered that, for many players, *Peace Elite* is not just a game—it’s a medium that serves as an emotional space where players can preserve their summer memories.
So our approach is very simple and straightforward: to respond to players’ emotional needs.By giving concrete form to, extending, and symbolizing their feelings about summer, we steadfastly deliver exclusive summer-themed game content every year. We approach our work with a long-term perspective, and by persevering year after year, we hope that summer will not only be an important update period for players but also a key anchor point in their emotional memories.
After many years, we’ve found that the “Summer Edition” has become an emotional symbol of the IP for the vast player base of *Peace Elite*.For example, we often see the viral summer anthem “On My Way” trending across various social media platforms, and we notice that many players feel inspired to go surfing or play in the water in *Peace Elite*. At the same time, they frequently reminisce about the summers they spent with their in-game partners. This feeling and this emotion are deeply ingrained in the hearts of our players—and in the hearts of our official team as well. That’s why we feel a strong sense of mission and connection, and together we strive to fully embrace the spirit of “Peace Summer” every summer.
But we don’t stand still—we strive to offer a fresh experience with every summer update. From the initial "Island of Love" to the "Summer Beach" update, last year’s "Dolphin Island" update, and this year’s "Summer Voyage" update—each represents a diverse interpretation of the summer theme. We hope to establish it as another major annual event for *Peace Elite*, on par with the Spring Festival.
As a result, the Summer Edition has already carved out its own unique place in players’ memories—whether in terms of the game’s ecosystem, the update itself, the player community, or the social culture surrounding it. What remains constant is the emotional connection; what changes is the fresh, engaging content we provide to players every year. Judging by the results, we’re very satisfied—whether it’s the game’s performance metrics, player feedback, or the lively discussions on social media, all indicate that we’ve earned the players’ affection and recognition.
Q: Over the past two years, *Peace Elite* has increasingly incorporated AI—from “Little Horse God” and the AI teammate features in the Spring Festival update earlier this year to the AI creation tools in “Oasis: Qiyuan”—all of which have been well-received by players. How has the broader integration of AI technology impacted *Peace Elite* so far?
Huang Xinlong: In this regard, first of all, it has charted a clear course for the development, content, and user sides, and has had a positive impact; we have also received a great deal of positive feedback.
"Peace Elite" has actually always embraced technological innovation; we’ve generally been among the first games to implement industry-trending features like DeepSeek and Lobster. These features were initially experimental. For example, we launched the “Jili” chatbot, which allowed players to chat with it about outfits and gameplay strategies. Later, we introduced AI teammates that can help you drive, collect loot, and even cheer you on when you’re not playing well.
This process actually involved two stages: In the first stage, the AI companion was likely more function-oriented; but this year, after we upgraded the Hun Yuan 3.0 large model, it began to exhibit a strong sense of “human-like presence.” For example, during combat or when fending off enemies, it will even discuss with you decisions it believes aren’t the best course of action.
During this year's Spring Festival, with the "Little Horse God" feature, we also witnessed the boundless creativity of our users, who produced a vast amount of high-quality content that far exceeded our expectations.
From the user’s perspective, we hope that AI will be more than just a new technology to experiment with—we want it to become a driving force that keeps players coming back for more. Whether it’s providing emotional companionship or serving as a tool to simplify tasks—such as configuration panel tools—we hope it will become a long-term feature rather than just a fleeting trend. We hope that, building on our AI technology foundation, we can continue to release content that players find even more enjoyable in the future.
On the content creation side, there are two areas where AI is used quite extensively. The first is content and the live-streaming ecosystem. We’ve seen a large number of “digital avatar” live streams, as well as our own “Little Tomato” and similar virtual theaters, all of which are gradually incorporating AI technology to continue telling great stories to our audience.
Second, Oasis Qiyuan Ecology: We launched AI creation tools at our anniversary celebration and Spring Festival events this year, and we will continue to roll out more powerful and comprehensive AI creation tools in the second half of the year.
Our core philosophy is to achieve “technological equality.” We have always believed that creativity comes first. By continuously refining our tools, we hope that in the future—whether within the content ecosystem or the Oasis UGC ecosystem—players and creators will be able to express their ideas seamlessly, without having their great ideas compromised by technical challenges or implementation barriers.
When it comes to the day-to-day work of our own team, my personal impression is that when we design a solution now, we can see a version that’s nearly 80 percent close to the final product within the first two or three days. This has significantly increased our sense of control over the design’s certainty and provided a clearer picture of its future form and how it will function.
Overall, AI has played a very positive role in user experience, content creation, and product development. Although the approaches to developing these areas are entirely different, we hope to make effective use of this technology across all these fields. In the future, we will continue to embrace the technological changes brought by AI and keep pace with the new trends of the times.
Q: As a leading title in the shooter genre, *Peace Elite* has amassed a massive player base and cultivated a unique gaming culture. However, competition in the shooter genre seems fiercer than ever. How does *Peace Elite* view this competition, and what is its greatest advantage in terms of content and gameplay?
Yang Yiqing: We’ve seen competition gradually intensify year after year, but this fierce competition is a sign of the shooting game genre’s prosperity. With more outstanding shooter games exploring new possibilities together, this will help *Peacekeeper Elite* break free from the cycle of homogenization and repetitive iterations within a single gameplay style, allowing us to recognize that there are more possibilities and sources of inspiration in terms of gameplay and formats. Therefore, for us, competition is not only a challenge but also an opportunity.
In the face of intense competition in the gaming industry, we’ve had extensive internal discussions, and after talking it over, we remain very confident that we can continue to do what we do best and earn the recognition and trust of our players.
Why would you even think about this?
First of all, *Peace Elite* is a highly inclusive and adaptable game. After years of operation, we’ve built a highly creative and active player community—and this community is our greatest source of confidence.Every year, we actively seek to understand and analyze player feedback—often through direct, face-to-face communication—to identify their needs and pain points. Based on this insight, we continuously refine our design, development, operations, and marketing strategies in a comprehensive and targeted manner. This ability to evolve alongside our players is what drives us forward.
Secondly, after so many years of development, *Peace Elite* has gradually evolved from its initial "battle royale" gameplay into today’s multi-gameplay platform that combines tactical shooting with a variety of other genres, including the "Hyper Body" mode, subway modes, and a UGC platform. It has also experimented with numerous new game types. Coupled with the excellent weapon mechanics and infrastructure support cultivated over the years through close collaboration with players, the game can provide rich content to meet their diverse needs—past, present, and future. This is the very logic behind its evolution and sustained growth.
Finally, as for our internal team, we will continue to innovate. Beyond the gameplay modules mentioned earlier, we will keep exploring new possibilities. For example, by integrating traditional culture—such as intangible cultural heritage—we’ll reinterpret these traditions through innovative approaches to fulfill players’ desire for a sense of national identity and social values. We’ll also collaborate deeply with popular city IPs, such as Dunhuang and Harbin, allowing players to experience China directly within *Peacekeeper Elite*. Additionally, we’ll leverage the latest AI technology to enhance game design, development, and marketing efforts. At the same time, we will continue to identify trending memes, popular culture, and the content players most want to experience across different social circles and platforms, and organically integrate them into *Peacekeeper Elite* for players to enjoy. We hope that *Peace Elite* will not only be fun to play but will also generate more interesting memes, interactions, and topics across different gaming communities, allowing the game to permeate a wider range of scenarios—both online and offline, and both within and outside the game.
Therefore, we believe that *Peace Elite* is a game that will continue to reinvent itself over time. Even though competition in the industry is indeed very fierce right now, we are confident that by working together with our players, we can keep *Peace Elite* feeling fresh and youthful.
Q: *Peacekeeper Elite* has long been known as a game that consistently trends on social media. In addition to its competitive gameplay and ecosystem, this success is undoubtedly due to the team’s ability to stay on top of and understand users’ latest preferences. Do you have any new insights to share in this regard?
Ang Yuhong: Based on our long-term observations, from the perspective of players’ preferences and needs, *Peacekeeper Elite* has long ceased to be merely a game; instead, players view it as a social platform—a medium and symbol of communication through which they create their own subculture and achieve emotional resonance.
There’s a common understanding among players when they post content on social media: while certain comments or inside jokes might not resonate with their personal social circles, they can garner a great deal of approval within the *Peace Elite* community. This spontaneous sharing not only generates a steady stream of promotional momentum for the game but also makes players feel truly acknowledged and seen.
Throughout this process, we’ve consistently paid close attention to and listened to players’ feedback. For example, a while back in the “Ancient Tomb” game mode, our designers noticed that players felt a strong connection to the character “Salamander Xiao Bao” and loved discussing it.Consequently, we quickly responded to player feedback in subsequent updates, transforming “Salamander Xiao Bao” into a character with more interactive features.
While users' needs and preferences are indeed constantly changing, we believe that the simplest and most direct approach is to listen to players, respond to them, and foster a positive, two-way relationship between the game and its players.
