This afternoon (the 24th), *The Legend of the Condor Heroes* announced that it will officially shut down on November 24 at 3:00 p.m.

In fact, there were signs that *The Legend of the Condor Heroes* was about to shut down. Previously, the game released two “Developer Q&A” sessions every month, but Game Teahouse noticed that, as of late September, *The Legend of the Condor Heroes* had not released a single new “Developer Q&A” session. Furthermore, the overall volume of playable content updates in September was lower than usual.

Most fundamentally, development is proceeding with the goal of staying true to Jin Yong's original novel.

Visually, the 2.0 version of *The Legend of the Condor Heroes* features completely remastered character models in a realistic style, giving the characters a more mature appearance.

Character Designs for Version 2.0

In terms of the storyline, the new version reimagines the plot to enhance players' sense of immersion. Players can freely travel to different points in time within Jin Yong’s “Legend of the Condor Heroes” trilogy to experience various storylines.

In terms of gameplay, the game has been restructured into a chapter-based seasonal system. The "All Paths Lead Back to the Source" system has been introduced to reduce the player’s workload, while daily quests have been optimized to make them less time-consuming. The combat system has been streamlined with the addition of smart combo attacks, and magic-like visual effects have been removed to return combat to its roots as "martial arts." To achieve realistic wuxia combat, the 2.0 version of *The Legend of the Condor Heroes* also utilizes motion capture technology.

In the August update, *The Legend of the Condor Heroes* introduced the popular "Search, Attack, and Retreat" gameplay mode all at once, and also enabled free trading between players. This marks a major breakthrough in the game's economic system.

In May of this year, *The Legend of the Condor Heroes* ambitiously unveiled its roadmap for future updates, planning to release the major expansion “Battle of Mount Bright” by the end of this year or next spring.
