According to multiple sources, a company founded by Xuanzi, the former producer of NetEase’s *Beyond the World*, has recently registered two trademarks: “Descends Here” and “He Descends Here.”
“Beyond the World” was released in January 2024, and right from the start, it sparked a social media frenzy on Weibo with the hashtag “0118: The Battle for the Top of the National League B.” Thanks to its unique “infinite loop” storyline, *Beyond the World* won the hearts of a large number of players immediately upon release, emerging as a rare dark horse in the domestic otome game market, which was becoming increasingly saturated at the time.After its launch, the game quickly rose to the top of the revenue charts for domestic games targeting female audiences, briefly reaching the Top 3 on the App Store’s Best-Selling Chart, and became a benchmark product that could not be overlooked in subsequent industry reviews of the “Guo-Er” genre.
Then, in July 2025, *Beyond the World* sparked controversy when it raised the prices of in-game gacha pulls. The developers bluntly stated, “*Beyond the World* wants to make money,” triggering a new wave of public backlash. Following the incident, the game’s reputation plummeted, and revenue declined.
In October 2025, Xuanzi, the former producer of *Beyond the World*, left NetEase to found Guangzhou Zhiming Network Technology, which received investment from miHoYo and Monolith (Lisi Capital).According to public records, the company’s products are positioned as 2D, female-oriented, story-driven games, and this newly registered trademark is speculated to be the title of a new female-oriented game.
