God of War Trilogy Remaster & Prequel Game, *Death Stranding 2* Coming to PC—Check Out the Big News from Sony’s Press Conference Today

Sony held its State of Play event at 6 a.m. this morning, featuring new trailers and gameplay demos for *Existence: The Unseen*, *Resident Evil 9*, and *Control: Resonance*. Let’s take a look back at the other major announcements regarding upcoming games.

① The remastered God of War trilogy and the new 2D action-platformer *God of War: Spartan’s Son* are out today on PS5.

Santa Monica Studio has announced a remake of the original *God of War* trilogy, which will be completely rebuilt from the ground up. The project is currently in the early stages of development.Additionally, the studio unveiled the new entry in the series, *God of War: The Son of Sparta*. Set within the official canon, the story follows Kratos during his youth as he and his brother Deimos undergo the brutal training of the Spartan Agoge. The brothers must face grueling trials and numerous threats, and in battles that test everything they have learned, they come to understand the true meaning of "duty" and "honor."Developed in collaboration between Mega Cat Studios and Santa Monica Studio, the game is now available on the PS5 Store.

② *Death Stranding 2* will be released on PC on March 19

Embark on a soul-stirring mission in *Death Stranding 2: On the Shores of the Underworld* to seek human connection beyond the UCA. Sam and his companions set out on a new journey to save humanity from the brink of extinction. Join them as they traverse this otherworldly realm, where enemies lurk and dangers abound, to explore an enduring question: Is connection necessary?*Death Stranding 2: Beyond the Shore* launches on March 19 on Steam and the Epic Games Store.

③ The latest installment in the *Silent Hill* series, *Silent Hill: Small Town Fall*, is set to be released in 2026.

The protagonist, Simon Odell, is summoned back to St. Amelia Island to “set things right.” What he finds is a town shrouded in thick fog—a place that appears abandoned but has never truly found peace.As he delves deeper into the island, attempting to understand his connection to it and its inhabitants, Simon gradually uncovers a buried past that is slowly coming to light. The game delivers an immersive horror experience through a first-person perspective, combining CRTV visual effects with stealth-based gameplay to return to the classic psychological horror and puzzle-solving exploration that defined the Silent Hill series.

④ Untitled "John Wick" Game Announced

The game will be co-developed by Saber and Lionsgate, with the goal of faithfully recreating the film’s iconic action aesthetics, revolutionary combat choreography, and the captivating underworld setting. The game’s storyline will align with the film’s narrative while filling in key gaps in the timeline, allowing players to witness firsthand the pivotal turning points in John Wick’s career. In addition to featuring classic characters familiar to movie audiences, the game will introduce a host of new characters created specifically for the game.

⑤ Trailer released for the latest entry in the *Castlevania* series, *Castlevania: Curse of Belmont*

Set 23 years after the events of *Castlevania: Curse of Dracula*, the game follows a young Belmont on a brand-new adventure. This all-new 2D action-exploration title is a collaboration between KONAMI, Evil Empire, and Motion Twin, and is scheduled for release in 2026.

⑥ The "Soul of Mount Yangtui" Legendary Mode will launch on March 10

The gameplay will be identical to *Ghost of Tsushima*, support up to four players online, and will be released as a free DLC.

⑦ Trailer for *Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 2* Released

The collection will include HD remasters of *Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots* and *Metal Gear: Peace Walker*, and will launch on August 27 for PS5, Xbox, Switch 1 & 2, and PC. This marks the first time *Metal Gear Solid 4* has been ported to other platforms after being a PS3 exclusive for several years.

⑧ The sequel to *Kona: A Bridge of Spirits*, titled *Kona: The Scar of Cosmora*, is set to launch in 2026.

⑨Konami's new JRPG, *Rev.Noir*, has been announced
