The biggest update since the release of *Kingdom of the Mist* is here! *Wake of the Water* includes several long-awaited and highly requested features, such as water rendered with dynamic voxels and physics-based simulation. The combat system has also been significantly overhauled with the addition of two-handed greatswords, giving the entire game a fresh new look.You’ll explore the new Veilwater Basin biome—teeming with diverse wildlife and enemies, such as the lizard-like Drak—and along the way, discover numerous new treasure-hunting mechanics related to weapons and cosmetics, as well as extensive improvements to the core gameplay experience and bug fixes. This marks the seventh content update since the game’s January 2024 release, and the introduction of “water” will bring revolutionary changes to this world.

The developers have introduced their innovative voxel water system to *Kingdom of Mist*, significantly enhancing gameplay depth in exploration, farming, terrain modification, building, and survival.Additionally, Keen Games continues to pour new features into the "Wake of the Water" update that will transform the game, such as a revamped combat system, an amphibious enemy faction, an entirely new biome, and a wealth of items, weapons, gear, cosmetics, and resources to discover within it. ·First of all… of course, there’s water and a whole new biome! It’s dynamic voxel water, which means you can interact with it in all sorts of ways in the game. You can swim in it, draw water, redirect its flow, use it to water plants, reshape the terrain around bodies of water, or get trapped in underwater caves… though you might want to try not to get trapped.
· Combat System Overhaul: Nearly all combat-related items have been rebalanced to make them more impactful in battle (Tip: You can adjust the combat difficulty). Greatswords and the Heavy Responsibility They Bring: *Kingdom of Mist* finally features greatswords, along with several new weapon skills, gems, and armor sets.
· Fish are both friends and food: Play fishing mini-games and catch a wide variety of fish. There are also all-new wildlife creatures, like capybaras, waiting for you to tame.
·Drak Attack: Draks are lizard-like enemies that pose a threat both in water and on land, so you must remain highly vigilant in both environments and be prepared for battle.
· Build a waterfront base: Use new resources like bamboo, Drak-themed decorations, new color schemes, lighting elements, food, building materials, and more to construct a waterfront base.

To ensure that players of *Kingdom of Mist* aren’t overwhelmed by too many details, Keen Games has created a video explaining the various changes in the game. The player community has expressed a desire for more balanced and thrilling combat that allows for flexible responses, as well as greater cohesion and interconnectivity within the combat system. Keen Games has a dedicated development team working on refining every aspect of the combat system.They have significantly improved the balance of weapons, armor, rings, and shields, and enhanced the appeal of combat items by integrating relevant stats and elemental effects (which now align more seamlessly with their descriptions). Health regeneration balance has also been adjusted, so Children of Fire will need to pay closer attention to their consumables and health recovery—but remember, you can still customize the game’s difficulty. The seventh update brings to life many of the major features promised in the roadmap earlier this year. These features were selected by the community through the Feature Upvote platform. Since the Early Access release, water has been the feature most strongly requested by players; however, designing realistic, dynamic water using our custom voxel system was a technically challenging task, which is why it has only now been implemented.
