Following the failure of *Mim*, the original producer of *Moore Manor* has joined NetEase’s Danzai team

Last week, Junyue Law Firm, acting as the bankruptcy administrator for Qutang Network, issued an announcement inviting bids from appraisal firms to assess the value of the company’s intangible assets, which consist primarily of *Mimimaha*. This marks a further step forward in the liquidation of Qutang Network.

Game Teahouse has learned that Zheng Zhouri, founder of Qutang Network and former producer of *Moore Manor*, joined NetEase’s Eggy Studio last month. Based in Hangzhou, he is now in charge of secondary gameplay features for the *Egg Party* project team.

In 2021, after completing work on the *Moore Manor* mobile game, Zheng Zhouri left Taomee and founded Qutang Network with the support of FunPlus and Tianji Network. The new studio aimed to develop a game centered around themes such as “healing, pet-catching, low-stress gameplay, and exploration”—a project that would later become *Mimimaha*. At its peak, Qutang Network had a team of around 80 people.

In July 2025, *Mimimaha* launched its open beta. On its first day, it topped both the App Store’s Free Chart in China and TapTap’s Popular Games Chart. However, the good times were short-lived. After its launch, *Mimimaha* received mixed reviews, and its monetization fell short of expectations. It quickly dropped out of the Top 100 on various charts and eventually disappeared from the rankings entirely.

Last October, Mimimaha received its final content update

"Mimimaha" has seen a staggering decline in popularity. Just three months after its open beta, reports emerged that the game's development team had been laid off and was on the verge of disbanding. Since its last update in October of last year, there has been no further activity.

In January of this year, several art outsourcing companies filed lawsuits against Qutang Network over “disputes regarding commissioned creation contracts.” Ultimately, Qutang Network filed for bankruptcy. It seems that Zheng Zhouri’s entrepreneurial journey has now come to a temporary halt.
